Robotics Camp during the week of JULY 30-August 3
Task: Student will design, program and build robot, learn coding skills
Grade: 7 th grade students
Dates: July 30-August 3
Days: Monday – Friday
Time: 8am-12pm
What will the students learn?
· Problem-solving · Critical Thinking · Collaborative teamwork · Adapting to new challenges · Use the MINDSTORMS® software and discover visual programming · Build MINDSTORMS robots that use motors ·Programming and use the different sensors · Recognize gears and gear ratios (Physics & Math)
Goals and outcomes Goals:
· Students’ designing, programming, engineering and coding skills will increase. · Students’ ability to think about and solve a problem will improve. · Students’ knowledge about STEM disciplines will increase. · Students’ understanding of the concept of systems will improve.
Outcomes:
 · Students will build strong, capable robots designed and programmed for the task at hand.

Summer office hours will be from 9 am – 3 pm Monday – Friday from June 4th – July 31st.
